Ali Isabelle captures the fearless joy naturally found in children's art. Her work introduces a new and exciting aesthetic where contrasting elements of tightly rendered focal points and loose splashes of color highlight her imaginative form. These vibrant acrylic paintings combine bold colors with embedded patterns, inviting the viewer to take a closer look into her whimsical perspective. After graduating summa cum laude with a painting degree and art history minor, Ali worked as an art teacher while managing her studio. Over the years, she continued to merge art school concepts with the freedom and excitement found in children's art, which became the path for Ali’s work. Ali’s painting, Orange, was selected to become part of the Hawaii State Foundation’s permanent collection from the juried ArtMaui exhibition at the Schaefer Gallery. Her work is described as “exhibiting excellence, originality and whimsy”. In 2020 Ali started utilizing her signature all-over compositions as repeated patterns on clothing. This project culminated in a new artform featuring fine art paintings printed on clothing, beach bags, and surfboards. Her work can now be seen on lifestyle merchandise all around the world. Ali Isabelle is grateful to call Maui her home where the island's natural beauty inspires her ongoing creative expression.
