Shaowei Liu
Twenty-three years of Shaowei Liu’s art career were spent in the computer and console game industry. Planning and thinking she would like to paint with classic media after retiring, she chose 3D modeling jobs instead of digital painting which would interfere with the progress of traditional skills she felt she would need to pursue painting. Shaowei Liu lives and works in Lahaina, Maui and dedicates her artistic interest to refining techniques of classic media, that she applies to children’s book illustrations, gallery display of Lahaina scenes as well as teaching.
