Susan Stark has an inner drive to reveal truth through the use of color and the abstract. How did this evolve? Her parents were in the arts, and she lived in Manhattan in the 70s, 80s and 90s where she was exposed to “brilliant creative, abstract and Avant guard styles”. People say this about her work, “Susanne is a multi-talented artist who has always been driven to explore and create many art forms. Her work is intuitive painterly and an incredible colorist.” Susanne achieved a BA in Fine Art and dance and describes her style as eclectic and continually evolving. Her favorite quote about her work has been, “To name an object is to destroy three quarters of the pleasure we take in the poem, which is derived from the enjoyment of guessing, by degrees of suggesting it. That is our dream….one chooses an object which, when gradually deciphered, reveals a state of mind.” - Pierre Bonnard.
