Stan Robinson
Stan Robinson lives and works on Maui, but in the past both Oregon and New Zealand were his home. He has studied Music and Fine Arts, having had an accomplished career in both. Being on Maui he is captivated through experiencing the warm, turquoise ocean, swaying palm trees, nurturing weather, and the unique Polynesian culture. His current focus is on Hawaiian and Polynesian imagery through oil painting as his medium, producing both representational and impressionistic oil paintings of landscapes and figurative studies. He says, “it is the mood, contemplation of time of day, place and the dance of light that transport me into the curiosity and design of my work”. The natural beauty of subjects and how they are affected by light is what truly inspires his work. Stan is pleased to share the romance and beauty of island life through his artistry and oil paintings.
