Every surfer anticipates the winter surf. North swells arrive, large waves break and surfboards are getting to ride the waves. When I was growing up, my dad would pile us into the station wagon and drive out to the North Shore on O'ahu. We'd sit and watch the huge waves crashing. I could feel the rumbling through my body the force was so great. I think it was my dad's winter cure.
